The Registered Nurse for Radiology is responsible for the management and delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients in the Radiology Departments for interventional/diagnostic procedures. The Registered Nurse directs and guides the delivery of patient care, patient education, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. He/She is familiar with all instruments, supplies, and equipment used during specific interventional procedures. He/She is required to cover all areas of Radiology (i.e. CT, MRI, etc.)
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
