Oversees and coordinates daily activities of Patient Logistics Support. Prepares and manages staff scheduling, maintains policies and procedures, and works in conjunction with nursing services and staff to ensure support staff are appropriately responding to our patient’s needs. Is assigned to each contributing department based upon need.
The Quality Case Coordinator monitors, collects and analyzes data and case reviews for complications and overall quality of care based on accepted criteria and/or established practices. The Quality Case Coordinator in utilizing these skills assists the Medical Center in providing optimal care in a cost effective manner. The Quality Case Coordinator's role in data collection, analysis and summarization supports the Medical Center's performance improvement, risk management, Medical Staff, and external agency programs.
The Quality Case Coordinator utilizes his/her skills to manage internal and external resources to facilitate appropriate resource utilization of age specific patient populations which spans from newborns to geriatrics. Acting upon opportunities for process improvement, management of high risk cases and sentinel events, and achievement of acceptable outcomes the Quality Case Coordinator focuses on customer satisfaction and optimal performance.
Each staff pharmacist is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both Inpatients and Outpatients of CVPH.
The Psychiatry Operations Supervisor is responsible for working collaboratively with the Director and other members of the care team, as applicable, to plan for, supervise and evaluate all program operations and patient care delivery in the clinical area. The individual displays or is developing competence in the 5 core health competencies of interdisciplinary teamwork, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient-focused care, and informatics. Responsibilities include organizational planning, compliance with regulatory standards, fiscal management, ensure units are staffed appropriately at all times, recruit staff as needed, review and post a 4 week schedule monthly, setting and maintaining standards of care in psychiatry, coordinating services, providing for the professional growth of staff, and coaching on the unit and the bedside with all staff. They share joint responsibility with Director for all outcomes of unit to include but not limited to patient satisfaction, employee engagement and fiscal responsibility. Psychiatry Operations Supervisors are expected to work holidays and weekends as needed. Supervisor works with staff toward strategic goal of reducing turnover, overtime, high level incidents and response, flow improvement and empowerment/satisfaction of staff.
Performs CT procedures in a variety of settings and locations on patients as ordered by licensed providers in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital and departmental policy and according to any applicable New York State guidelines. Must assist in all aspects of the Radiology Department operations
The Accountant reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and is responsible for performing various duties related to the completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements for UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital and related entities, including workpapers for assigned general ledger accounts. He/she will record financial transactions for designated sections of the UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital financial statements. He/she may also be assigned initial responsibility for maintaining the financial records of an entire related entity. He/she is also responsible for providing supporting documentation to finance leadership and department managers as well as providing backup to other accountants as needed.
The Accountant is expected to follow appropriate accounting documented procedures. In addition, the Accountant has the authority to analyze various general ledger accounts and record adjustments when deemed appropriate. The Accountant is expected to prioritize his/her work so as to meet the required deadlines set by the Manager of Corporate Accounting or Associate Vice President of Corporate Finance – ADK Region.
The Practice Supervisor works under the supervision of the Director of Practice Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical practice while assuring excellent customer service to internal and external customers. (S)he effectively plans and directs practice operations to achieve expense control and maximize productivity of staff, physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals. Regularly uses independent judgment to interpret and apply policies, procedures and practices. Judgments have a broad financial impact on the organization.
Completes medically prescribed Occupational Therapy assessment, plans and implements treatment program, and reasseses patient status as indicated to restore function and/ or maximize ability following disease or disability.
Assists the laboratory supervisor in achieving efficient laboratory operation by performing screening of gynecologic preparations and facilitating the evaluation of non-gynecologic preparations in accordance with departmental testing procedures and policies. Prepares diagnostic reports. Supports laboratory testing services by performing specimen processing, quality control and maintenance functions. Participates in training and inservice programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the laboratory director as procedures are changed or added. Performs quality assurance duties as requested.

General Summary:
The Executive Assistant will have overall responsibility for the daily operations of members of the Leadership team (AVPs and above) and other departments, as needed. This position interacts with all leadership and staff, as well as with members of the Board of Directors, Medical Staff, patients and their families, and other individuals and groups as a representative of the Leadership team and the organization. Diplomacy, integrity, respect, organization and initiative are key attributes of this position.
The Assistant Nurse Manager is the primary support person for the direction and coordination of the nursing care for a specific patient care area. The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates in the assessment, evaluation, daily operations and planning for nursing care in the clinical area. She/he will carry out the outlined responsibilities with guidance from the Leadership Team. The Assistant Nurse Manager responsibilities will include but not limited to participating in hiring and evaluation of staff, setting and maintaining standards of nursing care and practice, coordinating service for patients, providing professional growth of staff and clinical coaching on the unit and bedside with all staff. . The Assistant Nurse Manager shares joint responsibility for all outcomes of the unit to include patient satisfaction, employee engagement and fiscal responsibility.
Assists the Laboratory Supervisor in achieving efficient Laboratory operation by performing clinical tests. Supports laboratory testing services by performing specimen collection and processing, quality control and maintenance functions, and results reporting and verification. Participates in training and in-service programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the Supervisor as procedures are changed or added.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, transports patients, materials, and equipment to and from all areas of the Medical Center, including the Medical Office Buildings. Performs duties involved with the sorting, preparation, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, printing, interoffice, and storage/warehouse requirements.
This position is responsible for the oversight of Women and Children’s Services in conjunction with the Director of Specialty Care Services. This individual displays compliance in the 5 core healthcare competencies of interdisciplinary team work, quality improvement, evidence base practice, patient focused care, and informatics. This individual will have knowledge of operations, regulations and reimbursement for inpatient and outpatient Women and Children Services including organizational planning, compliance with regulatory standards, fiscal management, setting and maintaining standards of nursing care and practice, coordinating services and providing for the professional growth of staff. The Nurse Manager has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall program operations and patient care provided in a clinical area 24/7.
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the management of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient outcomes. The RN directs and guides the delivery of nursing care, patient education, engages the patient in mutual goal setting and collaboration in developing a plan of care direted toward achieving identified goals, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing collaborating with other disciplines as appopriate. The RN is responsible for care related activities of support personnel.
This RN is accountable to meet the unique demands of a fast paced renal replacement therapy environment meeting quality outcomes in an economically viable and customer friendly way. Professional nephrology nursing practice is compelx and multidimensional incorporating the Standards of Nephrology Nursing Practice and Professional Performance. These standards include assessment, issue identification, outcomes identification, planning, implementation of an identified plan, evaluation, quality of practice, education, professional practice evaluation, collegiality, collaboration, ethics, research, resource utilization, and leadership.

Under the direction of the Practice Supervisor, the Patient Access Team Representative (PATR) will interview and collect patient demographic, and record it into the practice's EMR information system. The PATR is also responsible for distributing required patient information in a confidential manner, scheduling the appropriate tests, follow up appointments, monitoring provider schedules, answering telephones and documentation in the EMR, ordering inventory and communicating with ancillary and clinical departments when necessary. The PATR will manage all referrals to speciality practices and obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies. PATR will work with insurance companies to maintain a working knowledge of changing insurance requirements; and update patient insurance info as verified.
Each Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the staff pharmacists in the various functions of the Department, including dispensing and order filling responsibilities, inventory controls, and prepackaging.
The Facilities Services Supervisor provides instruction and organizational support for staff electricians. Assists in development of instruction modules for staff electricians for troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and new projects involving electrical infrastructure at the CVPH Main Campus. Provides mentoring for facilities staff for fire alarm infrastructure and emergency power infrastructure. Provides consultation services in review of major electrical infrastructure projects as needed.
This position requires attention to detail with respect to all electrical distribution systems, electronic equipment and other electric appliances. Facilities Services Supervisor must possess awareness of complex infrastructure controls related to this trade.
Performs diagnostic/obstetrical ultrasounds on patients as ordered by a licensed provider, in an ethical and professional manner.
