The Clerk IV performs receptionist and clerk duties in the department. Functions as the central communication source for the department process. Maintains and organizes paper related to patient care and medical record supplies, distributes mail and information to staff, physicians and patients. Transcribes both manually and into the computer patient and unit information. Directs both written and verbal communication to appropriate people. Zerox projects for staff and physicians. Answers the telephone and call system. Responsible for the timely, accurate and clear transfer of communications including physician orders. Develops and maintains harmonious, customer friendly environment. Monitors unit cameras and individuals entering and leaving the unit.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing and coordination care for the post-procedural extended recovery, and/or the observational care patient in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the management of patient care utilizing the nursing process to asses, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. The nurse directs and guides the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing collaborating with other disciplines as appropriate. The RN may be required to float.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is the primary support person for the direction and coordination of the nursing care for a specific patient care area. The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates in the assessment, evaluation, daily operations and planning for nursing care in the clinical area. She/he will carry out the outlined responsibilities with guidance from the Leadership Team. The Assistant Nurse Manager responsibilities will include but not limited to participating in hiring and evaluation of staff, setting and maintaining standards of nursing care and practice, coordinating service for patients, providing professional growth of staff and clinical coaching on the unit and bedside with all staff. . The Assistant Nurse Manager shares joint responsibility for all outcomes of the unit to include patient satisfaction, employee engagement and fiscal responsibility.

The Advanced Practice Provider works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor and medical supervision of the physician(s) to provide excellent medical care completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies. The Staff Physicist is responsible for the radiation physics requirements of CVPH according to the NYS Department of Health 10 NYCRR 16 and ACR requirements. The Staff Physicist functions as the Radiation Safety Officer and develops/maintains the Radiation Safety Program. The Staff Physicist is responsible for participation in the clinical aspects of external radiation therapy and brachytherapy, monitoring and calibration of radiation therapy treatment equipment, and oversight of the quality control program for radiation producing equipment according to ACR, NYSDOH and The Joint Commission requirements. The Staff Physicist participates in the design of the radiation therapy facility and commissions linear accelerators, treatment planning computers and other radiation producing equipment. The physicist participates in establishing and monitoring the record and verify systems for Radiation Therapy. Directly supervises the technical staff and clinical function of the section of Radiation Oncology. Collaborates with the Director of Oncology Services to meet the established goals related to budget, staffing, regulatory agency requirements as well as staff, patient and physician satisfaction.

The PSG Technologist is a senior level polysomnographic position that performs sleep studies on all age groups. The position requires maintenance of all Tech I standards in addition to higher level responsibility with scoring and operation needs.

The Hospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner shall assist and supplement the Hospitalist Physician staff by rounding to assess, diagnose, and treat patients as enabled by their training and experience under the supervision and support of the Hospitalist Medical Director. These responsibilities will include caring for Hospitalist inpatients, responding to calls from the nursing staff, assessing changes in condition, responding to changes in condition, ordering tests and images, interpreting tests and images, and ordering medications. The Hospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will also prepare discharges of patients and will prepare appropriate prescriptions, prepare discharge summaries, arrange follow up appointments and educate patients and families.

The Perioperative Float RN is responsible for the delivery of wellness based, customer friendly care to patients using the nursing process. This RN assures a coordinated perioperative experience for patients before, during and after surgical/invasive procedures. This RN is responsible for care related activities of support personnel. This RN is accountable to meet the unique demands of a fast paced, competitive surgical environment meeting quality outcomes in an economically viable and customer friendly way. The focus of patient care will encompass pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure patient monitoring and physician assistance, post procedure critical evaluation, anticipation and prevention of complications, effective pain management, and patient/family education. This RN maintains standards of professional nursing practice.
The Perioperative Float RN is Phase I competent, critically care trained and is responsible for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process who require Phase I recovery and will transition patients to Phase II recovery level. Will require floating between main campus and Ambulatory Surgey Center.
