Under the direction of the Manager, performs various materials functions that relate to receiving, storage/warehousing, inventory control, issuing, printing, and transporting of material. Operates an automated information management system according to established procedures.
Performs all duties associated with the acquisition of equipment, supplies, and services using an MMIS system. Assists Purchasing Manager with inventory management functions which support daily operations. Enforces purchasing policies. Communicates and coordinates with appropriate Managers, Supervisors, staff, and vendors for material acquisition. Works directly with physicians and/or construction project managers in support of strategic mission priorities. Makes recommendations for purchase of goods and services to, or as directed by, the Purchasing Manager or Supply Chain Directors. Reviews contracts and benchmark data as required. Utilizes supply chain tools in reviewing both current and new products and practices. Serves as department lead in absence of Purchasing Manager, ensures workflow is maintained.
Each Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the staff pharmacists in the various functions of the Department, including dispensing and order filling responsibilities, inventory controls, and prepackaging.
The Director of Finance and Accounting is responsible for managing the Corporate Accounting Department. In summary, these responsibilities include:
- Production of monthly and annual financial statements for the organization in accordance with US GAAP & within UVMHN’s required timeline.
- Development and monitoring of effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Management of the accounting, payroll, and accounts payable direct reports.
- Coordination of various external and internal audits; principally the annual financial statement audit.
- Supporting the compilation and submission of third party financial reports.
- Analyzing actual results to budgets and forecasts and preparing ad hoc financial analyses related to the operations of the organization.
- Compliance with tax regulations affecting the organization.
The Director of Finance and Accounting is a key financial leader who partners with the Associate VP of Finance and the CFO in performing core financial management responsibilities to ensure the financial health of the organization.

The Invasive Cardiology Quality RN monitors, collects and analyzes data and case reviews for complications and overall quality of care based on accepted criteria and/or established practices. The Invasive Cardiology Quality RN in utilizing these skills assists the Medical Center in providing optimal care in a cost effective manner. The Invasive Cardiology Quality RN’s role in data collection, analysis and summarization supports the Medical Center’s performance improvement, risk management, Medical Staff, and external agency programs.
The Invasive Cardiology Quality RN utilizes his/her skills to manage internal and external resources to facilitate appropriate resource utilization of age specific patient populations, which spans from newborns to geriatrics. Acting upon opportunities for process improvement, management of high-risk cases and sentinel events, and achievement of acceptable outcomes the Invasive Cardiology Quality RN focuses on customer satisfaction and optimal performance.
This position is responsible for the timely performance of various processes relating to Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting activities.
The Pharmacist, Oncology Specialist will be responsible for the overseeing and coordinating of the institution’s mission as it relates to the clinical use of oncology medications. The Pharmacist, Oncology Specialist shall serve as a liaison between the inpatient Oncology unit, the Cancer Center and the Pharmacy Department.
This position requires attention to detail with respect to all electrical distribution systems, electronic equipment, and other electric appliances. The individual must perform daily maintenance on all assigned equipment as necessary and complete specific p.m.'s on same. This person is required to be on call as scheduled for the plant operations section and must also perform other duties as assigned.
Oversees the daily operations of both MRI and CT. This includes employee scheduling, staffing, payroll,and employee management. Additional responsibilities include protocol development, policy development and improvement, image quality control, PACS support, and patient satisfaction/service recovery. Staff meetings, education, and communication between nursing and radiologists are also integral portions of the position. Coordination of outpatient, inpatient, and emergency exams and schedules is done daily. Responsibilities also include the increase in department efficiency through process improvement/evaluation.
The SNF Intake/Clinical Operations Supervisor is responsible for working collaboratively with the Unit Leadership team to plan for, supervise and evaluate all program operations and patient care delivery in the clinical area. The individual displays or is developing competence in the 5 core health competencies of interdisciplinary teamwork, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient-focused care, and informatics. Responsibilities include organizational planning, compliance with regulatory standards, fiscal management, setting and maintaining standards of nursing care and practice, coordinating services, providing for the professional growth of staff, and clinical coaching on the unit and the bedside with all staff. He/She shares joint responsibility with unit Leadership for all outcomes of unit to include but not limited to patient satisfaction, employee engagement and fiscal responsibility. SNF Intake/Clinical Operations Supervisor is expected to work holidays and weekends as needed
The Oncology Medical Assistant will perform various duties under the supervision and/or direction of a Nurse Director and/or Assistant Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse depending on area of assignment. The three principal duties of this position are:
- Clerical/Patient Registration: Performs the receptionist activities using the VA computer system and carries out clerical or patient registration duties; functions as a communication center for areas assigned.
- Technician: Operates an Electrocardiograph machine to record electromotive variations and impulses of the heart for use in the diagnosis of heart disorder.
- Phlebotmist: Collects blood and other patient samples in the in-patient and outpatient population. Provides the essential direct link between the patient and testing service both in providing interpersonal contact and technical competence in obtaining appropriate patient samples. Performs other technical skills as trained.
The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, consultation and collaboration with the goal of facilitating the provision of high quality care and service to the patient. He/she serves as a resource to the organization and the community for information related to patient care. The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor must have an intense commitment to high level customer service and the ability to foster that culture within the site(s) they manage.
The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor has a direct reporting relationship to the Director of Clinical Operations with a dotted line reporting responsibility to the Director of Practice Operations.
The position will work in partnership with the Primary Care Practice Supervisor. He/she will work closely with physicians, medical directors (MD), Clinical Lead providers, nursing and other staff who interact and provide care to patients in the clinic. The Position may be asked to participate in standing committees related to practice of care impacting patients/operations in the clinic.
The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor has authority to direct, develop, and implement processes related to clinical care in collaboration with the Medical Director or other Clinical Leaders.
The Advanced Practice Provider works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor and medical supervision of the physician(s) to provide excellent medical care completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies. S(he) is responsible to provide health care services as licensed professionals working within their defined scope of practice. This position requires regular use of independent judgment.
Performs Diagnostic radiologic procedures in a variety of settings and locations on patients as ordered by licensed providers in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital and departmental policy and according to any applicable New York State guidelines. Must assist in all aspects of the Radiology Department operations.
The Cancer Peer Educator, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, is responsible for assessing the demographics and needs of the community for breast and prostate cancer health. Responsibilities will also include one-on-one and group presentations on the importance of cancer screening and education. Will build relationships with community members and motivate them to access health services for cancer screening. Will recruit and refer men and women to health care systems when appropriate. Will recruit volunteer community members, in priority populations, to help reach out to the community.

Under the supervision of the Director, Clinical Coordinator, or staff nurse, the Kidney Dialysis Technician performs various duties to assist in the treatment and care of ESRD patients in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Medical Center. The Dialysis Technician performs those direct care activities which are allowed to be delegated to unlicensed personnel under the NYS Practice Act, regulations, hospital policies, and standards met by Nursing Services. The Kidney Dialysis Technician also performs support functions for the unit/department as assigned by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or manager. He/She is responsible to provide support and assistance to the medical and nursing staff to assure a coordinated patient experience. Duties may include, but are not limited to dialyzer reprocessing, obtaining supplies and equipment necessary before, during and after a dialysis procedure, assisting with patient care under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting with station turnover, assisting with a variety of therapeutic interventions, participating in the dialysis care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and cleaning, stocking, and organizing the dialysis treatment area and all support areas. He/She must be reliable, work independently, be highly organized, capable of anticipating where assistance is needed and work well with people. He/She must meet the unique demands of a fast paced, dialysis environment meeting quality outcomes in an economically viable and customer friendly way.
The Manager of Lab Quality Point of Care will serve as the main coordinator of compliance for the Clinical Laboratories’ Quality Management System, in coordination with department leadership and external regulatory agencies. This will be accomplished working with quality staff across the Clinical Laboratories to achieve compliance with all regulatory standards used by the Clinical Laboratories. This includes quality assurance, performance improvement, risk management, quality improvement educational programs, reviewing occurrences involving quality of care, compliance monitoring, and participation in division, department, and hospital committees. The Manager with the Point of care lead will be responsible for the Point of Care program that includes but is not limited to support of current point of care systems, implementation of new programs, and working with clients on training and competencies.
The Manager will oversee the office staff responsible for making and receiving client calls and monitoring client satisfaction.
